Webcasting Digest
(Optional) If you prefer to have the
webcasting announcements arrive in your mailbox in a digest form - here is
how to sign up. This is only an option and not required to participate in
this group. The Webcasting-digest will wait until about 40K of messages
have been sent to webcasting@broadcast.net and send them all in one
message to your e-mail address. You will receive one
big message instead of several individual
messages.
To receive the
webcasting-digest: You will receive a notification that the process was successful and as soon as the 40K of new messages have been received, you will get the next issue of webcasting-digest. At the recent traffic rate, that is about once a day. You will continue to receive the individual messages until you unsubscribe from the webcasting@broadcast.net list. To do this, send a message to: majordomo@broadcast.net In the text area type unsubscribe webcasting. This will remove you from the list that produces the individual messages. To unsubscribe from the digest, send an e-mail to majordomo@broadcast.net. In the message area type unsubscribe webcasting-digest. REMEMBER, to post to both the individual message and digest lists you STILL send your messages to: webcasting@broadcast.net The disadvantage of joining the digest is that it may be a day before you see the latest posts. The advantage is that get one big message instead of a bunch of small ones. This is provided as an option at the request of several subscribers. You can use it either way. If you use Microsoft Mail as your mail client, PLEASE turn off the Rich Text option so your messages do not attach the winmail.dat file. The system sometimes displays it as garbage and this upsets some folks. If you have questions or problems, e-mail Dave Biondi dbiondi@broadcast.net and for editorial questions and suggestions e-mail Peggy Miles pmiles@intervox.com. You will be asked to post an introduction to the list upon signing up. We unfortunately reserve the right to immediately remove list members from this service for abusive, unsolicited advertising or offensive e-mail. Contact us with any questions. Thank you and we can't wait to hear and see you on the Net. |
Please introduce yourself to the list and your interest upon joining by sending us a short page e-mail to webcasting@broadcast.net
You may post to the list after joining, and must be a member to post to this e-mail webcasting@broadcast.net
No unsolicited e-mail advertising is allowed. Ask the list host or
review the archives to get an idea of the list focus. It's mission is to advance
the industry by working together. Courtesy and respect to other members is a
focus of this list. Feel free to ask questions to the list as needed. Many
members are there to help new members with webcasting issues. For personal
attention, send an e-mail to intervox@intervox.com

The reason for the posting rules is for the press and writers to quickly understand the content and context of your event.
A service of Intervox Communications -Hosting by Broadcast.Net
This is the largest list on the Net to promote Live Net Broadcasts, On-Demand Programming and New Channels in Webcasting. This is an outgrowth of the webcasting discussion list which was overwhelmed with posts. This is the place to post daily broadcasts, netcasts, and special events dealing with audio, video, and channels on the Net.
Webcasting-Events Archives:
http://www.broadcast.net/bmail/webcasting-events
These posting rules are in place so that the news media and list members can find your event in our archives and for our calendar.
TO POST: To post your new events, send an email to webcasting-events@broadcast.net
BE THOROUGH/COMPLETE: The single biggest complaint received are posters who leave off the exact URL of the event and the time (and the time zone!) from posts.
Please provide contact information of a phone, address, and email address for the press. It makes it hard to figure out the time of your event and for the press to write stories about you without complete information. This will make it easier for the press or other sites to pick your event for this events listings. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please put the URL of the event or location FIRST, or as close to the top of the email Text Area. Standard news release format encouraged.
